Storytelling and Narrative

This course incorporates journalistic principles to teach students how to recognize compelling narratives and build stories that they can then repurpose through various writing forms. Students learn how to use narrative techniques such as character development, story arc, and structure to create memorable content for a variety of audiences. Students also learn how to pitch narrative content to decision makers, whether they be media editors or internal communications managers interested in newsletter articles and must-read intranet content.
