The Visual Communications course provides students with the experience of analyzing the visual artefacts of our contemporary culture by understanding the movements and ideological trends that have helped to shape that culture. Students use the resulting knowledge in designing their own visual creations. They examine both static and dynamic imagery (advertisements, photographs, films, and interactive media), as they broaden their understanding of the underlying principles of "massaging images" in our electronic age.
