Completed Projects

Due to extensive growth in the Esthetician and Spa Management Program the Longo Faculty of Business is repurposing the resource labs H305 & H303 at the North Campus into a new spa lab. Project was completed in August 2023, in time for Fall 2023 start up.

New multi-deck 1,000 car parking structure. Completed January 2018. Construction of a new multi-deck 1,000 car parking structure replaced the surface lot capacity lost due to the construction of the new Centre for Technology Innovation (CTI) as well as increasing overall capacity. The solar panel array on the parking garage roof generates enough energy to make the CTI a net-zero building.

Within the Faculty of Health and Wellness, a new HIS lab was developed providing multi-use space that is used as both a patient clinic and an instructional classroom/lab with Portable Hearing Booths.  Similarly, a new “Idea Lab” was developed at the Centre of Entrepreneurship at the Lakeshor

Phases 1-4 have been completed providing new part time faculty space, full time faculty space and administrative spaces for work placements and coordinators.

Phase 1A saw the creation of a new "street café" and washroom replacing the services provided by the Java Jazz Cafe. Construction was completed October 2020.

The new five storey, 93,000 SF CTI facility completed in 2019 pioneer's a new model of education focused on collaboration and partnership with the communities Humber serves and on technological advances that are needed for the 21st century.

With a focus on business and technology, the IGS provides a professional learning environment connecting students with business and industry in the downtown core.

The design concept was to "bring the outdoors in" and that it represents Humber in its surrounding natural environment.
