Winter 2021 Planning Update

To all Humber employees,

With the Fall term well underway, I wanted to provide an update on our planning for the upcoming Winter term.

Our focus on health and safety continues to drive our approach to program and service delivery. You can expect that similar to our current situation we will continue to offer the majority of courses fully online in the Winter term. Most student services will continue to be offered virtually as well. Employees who are able to complete their work remotely will continue to do so for the Winter term.

I want to recognize the huge amount of work that has gone into preparing for this Fall term, and adapting on-campus teaching and learning to meet health and safety requirements. For the Winter term, in-person delivery will be limited to those courses and services where it is required, and we anticipate they will be subject to the same physical distancing and other health protocols now in place.

We will be sending out the message below later today to our students to update them and let them know they can expect detailed information about their programs and courses by the end of October.

Faculties and departments will be working on their operational plans for the Winter term over the next weeks and we have begun the work to develop our enrolment plans and budget for next year. Working together, we have surpassed our revised enrolment targets for the Fall term. I know that spirit of collaboration will remain strong as we work to provide our students with an exceptional learning experience.

Looking ahead, I want to assure you that our decisions will continue to be rooted in our values and that we will keep you informed, supported and connected across our digital and physical classrooms and workspaces.

Sincerely,
