Humber’s Partnership with the Funeral Service Profession of Ontario: This fully functioning merchandise selection room was donated, in part, by Victoriaville Caskets, who also secured a Century Vault display from Wilbert Concrete, gives Funeral Service students the opportunity to learn about the various options that exist, learn about how the merchandise is manufactured, the materials that are typically used, how to price them, and how to present them to families. This will give learners a solid foundation to build upon in year two of the program when they are doing their internship enabling them to have a better understanding when explaining options to families.

The Funeral Service Education Lab contains all relevant materials employed in funeral practice today. This state-of-the-art facility enables us to provide unique learning opportunities for our students.

Having these partnerships with the funeral service industry is an integral part of learning and not only key to students’ success – but a direct result of the tightly knit community necessary to the success of funeral services. It showcases all current safety and construction practices and has been utilized as an architectural model for funeral home renovation and building.
