Academic Integrity Community of Practice - March Speaker

Dr. Leo Lo will be presenting through Teams on March 28 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. His presentation, The CLEAR Path to Writing in the AI Era: Opportunities and Challenges, promises to be an informative one for those of us working with students using AI in their learning journeys. The session will touch on the C.L.E.A.R. framework that he has developed to support students in developing their AI prompting skills. Additionally, he will speak to scholarly writing in the AI age.

Biography

Dr. Leo Lo serves as the Dean and Professor at the College of University Libraries & Learning Sciences at the University of New Mexico. He is also the President-Elect of the Association of College & Research Libraries (ACRL). Currently, he leads his university’s AI Empowerment Initiatives, which aim to elevate the community’s AI literacy and teach intelligent, responsible use of the technology. Dr. Lo holds a doctorate degree in Higher Education Management from the University of Pennsylvania, an MLIS from Florida State University, and master’s degrees in both Screenwriting and Survey Research.
