Planning & Development

Humber College has been working with a variety of stakeholders within the City of Toronto on the development of the Humber Cultural Hub project.

In the last ten years, the student population at Lakeshore Campus has more than doubled and Humber has outgrown its existing facilities.

The Humber Cultural Hub is a two-phase redevelopment of a core element of Humber College’s Lakeshore Campus located at 23rd Street and Lakeshore Blvd. West in South Etobicoke. The first phase includes the construction of a 250,200 sq. ft. building featuring a 140-seat Recital Hall used primarily for academic purposes, specialty teaching spaces for arts and cultural programs and a 300-space student residence addition. The target date to complete phase one construction is Spring 2024. The second phase is scheduled to commence in 2024 with completion in Spring 2026.
