The purpose of the LaunchPad Competition is to encourage and support Humber student entrepreneurs. This annual competition provides an opportunity for student entrepreneurs to compete for a chance to win a share of $40,000 to launch their commercial/ community idea.

The competition receives, on average, more than 50 applications annually. Applicants meeting the correct criteria are narrowed down to 12 semi-finalists. Semi-finalists are invited to attend two speed-pitching events to pitch their business idea to a variety of coaches. The coaches will offer feedback and assistance to each entrepreneur. Based on the coach’s feedback and other criteria the finalists are chosen. Each finalist moves forward to the last event where they pitch their idea to a panel of expert judges for a share of the $40,000.

To apply, create an account here, complete all mandatory fields, including the questionnaires, and submit your unique 2 minute video explaining your business using your smartphone or other device. This video will be displayed to the judges during your final pitch, so try to be informative and creative. Be sure to complete all mandatory fields before submission. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE SUBMISSION WINDOW FOR 2016 IS NOW CLOSED.
