Below you can find a list of scholarships aimed at supporting 2SLGBTQ+ Students. ***Please note that most of the links found below are to organizations outside of Humber College.***
- IGNITE Student Union- IGNITE recognizes the unique challenges 2SLGBTQ+ members face, including social stigma and higher levels of financial insecurity. With this scholarship, IGNITE hopes to offer better support and alleviate some of the financial hardships disproportionately affecting this community. - The Bill 7 Award- The Bill 7 Award is a scholarship for individuals with demonstrated financial need after accessing available public financial supports. More information including relevant dates to apply can be found here.
- LOUD Scholarships- The LOUD Foundation invests in future leaders of the Canadian LGBTQ+ community. We believe that by supporting the development of students that possess drive, vision, compassion, and knowledge, we can improve society and increase awareness of our diverse community. - Acts of Greatness LGBTQ Youth Community Award- is open to LGBTQ youth 24 and under from around the world. Applicants must demonstrate community leadership qualities, past involvement, and a continued interest in service to the LGBTQ community. This award isn’t based on academics or financial need – it’s all about community leadership. More information including relevant dates to apply can be found here.
