Important Note For OREA Students

Individuals who completed the Salesperson Registration Education Program pre-registration segment at the OREA Real Estate College and are in their first registration cycle must complete their Articling courses and examinations by their renewal or reinstatement date, or by no later than June 11, 2021, whichever date comes first.

If you have not completed the required articling courses by June 11, 2021, you must complete equivalent requirements through Humber College in order to renew or reinstate your registration with RECO. Review the chart below to determine the required courses to complete through Humber. Note that more than one could apply.

If you did not complete at OREA:

No elective completed

You must complete at Humber:

  • Post-Registration Phase (3 courses)

If you did not complete at OREA:

Real Property Law

You must complete at Humber:

  • Course 1: Real Estate Essentials
  • Exam 1: Invigilated Theory Exam

If you did not complete at OREA:

The Residential Real Estate Transaction

You must complete at Humber:

  • Course 2: Residential Real Estate Transactions
  • Exam 2: Invigilated Theory Exam

If you did not complete at OREA:

The Commercial Real Estate Transaction

You must complete at Humber:

  • Course 4: Commercial Real Estate Transactions
  • Exam 4: Invigilated Theory Exam

Please review the information on the website carefully to determine which courses you require. Should you need to verify your course history, contact OREA: www.orea.com or 1-800-265-6732.

Note: Humber College cannot verify your previous course history. It is your responsibility to determine the courses you require to complete your articling requirements.

  • Go to the Learner Portal Log-In page and follow the prompt under New User to create an account
  • Ensure to use your full legal name as registered with RECO
  • Upon completion, you will receive an email from Humber with your username and password.

Application Form

  • Note that all fields are mandatory
  • Applications will take 10-15 business days to process.
  • A confirmation of receipt of application will be sent to you.
  • Once your application is processed, Humber College will contact you via email with a direct link to register in your course.
  • Do not attempt to register for a course on the program website as you will not be authorized to proceed.
