Humber partnered with GlobalMedic and Procter and Gamble for World Water Day this year. The mission? Pack 1,700 kits containing water purification packets and hygiene supplies to support Syrian refugees. Once shipped, the kits will help more than 10,000 people displaced in Syria and surrounding countries.

As part of Earth Week, Humber hosted free electric vehicle test drives at Lakeshore Campus. Students hit the road with Plug ’n Drive reps to try out the BMW i3, the Nissan Leaf and the Chevrolet Volt. Humber currently has an EV charging station at Lakeshore with plans for one at North Campus in late Spring 2017.

The School of Social and Community Services hosted a justice studies career fair at Lakeshore Campus. Students got the opportunity to interact with recruiters from Toronto Fire, the OPP, the Canadian Border Services Agency and many more.
