Content and Language Integrated Learning

The course will focus on designing student‐centered courses, learning experiences, and assessment techniques grounded in adult education learning theories with an emphasis on applying them to teaching contexts in order for instructors to teach their subject matter content expertise effectively through the medium of English. Participants will also develop their language skills, critical thinking, problem‐solving, collaboration skills, and increase participants’ proficiencies in technology‐enabled teaching and learning.

  • Demonstrate a basic understanding of the principles of Universal Design;
  • Design learning outcomes and assessments that are aligned with the content-specific learning experiences;
  • Demonstrate the implementation and use of a variety of teaching technologies.
