Security Alert- Lakeshore Campus

SECURITY ALERT

Lakeshore Campus

June 13, 2023

The Department of Public Safety would like to make the Humber College-Lakeshore community aware of two separate indecent exposure complaints received, one being an indecent act. Both incidents occurred near the Lakeshore east campus during the first week of June 2023.

Toronto Police have been made aware of the complaints received by Humber College, and the complainants have been encouraged to report directly to the police.

It is unclear if the separate incidents are related and committed by the same offender, or coincidental. The suspect for both incidents has a similar but vague description:

Suspect:

Male, white complexion, 40 to 50 years of age. Possibly balding. Dark clothing. He is not believed to be a member of the Humber community.

Anyone with information, should contact the Toronto Police Service at 416-808-2222 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477) or online at www.222tips.com

DPS would like to remind all members of our Lakeshore community of personal safety precautions:

Be aware of your environment and to be situationally aware of the people and activities around you. Walk with others when possible, as there is safety in numbers and avoid being alone in isolated areas of the campus.

The Department of Public Safety would also like to remind the community of the services we provide, including Campus Walk, Friend Walk, emergency code blue phones, 24-hour security patrols, Humber Alert emergency notifications and the Humber Guardian app for smart phones.  More details on all our services can be found at humber.ca/publicsafety
