Nature is a great source of inspiration for me. The art of noticing beauty in your surrounding environment encourages me to improve myself as an artist. With this picture, I wanted to unveil the beauty of nature and femininity. For me, nature reflects grace and softness, yet it also represents resilience and strength. shows an inhabitant of a village alongside goats. This image encapsulates the daily activities of
that individual who sets the rhythmic pace of rural village life. The background of the artwork has
copious amounts of detail that accurately depict life in a village. Although this artwork appears to
be standard and typical, the image is depicted with tenderness and care.
By manifesting this scene into artwork, it becomes unique and stands out significantly. This picture profoundly indicates the connection between humans and nature, as it is a mirror to the vibrant and
critical connection (with nature) that contorts the sides of rural life. In deeply embodied village life, everything that is present holds crucial significance, even for the elemental creatures that reside
alongside it. The village and the person appear to be content with what is occurring. The village life
is placid and often appears so complex that the village is announcing, ensuring livelihoods every day. "Rural Rhythms" entirely indicates how beautiful village life is and how significant and vigorous it is.

The ink lightly splatters all across the photo; there is no real exact location as to where it goes. The splattered paint adds growth to the photo. It also gives the drawing a more energizing feeling. It helps

Photographed in black and white, the image portrays the gorgeous model with fierce elegance, reminiscent of iconic Hollywood divas from the 1930s-50s. The use of light and dark yet soft shadows, alongside her poses accentuates her captivating features and creates a timeless and dramatic look. I challenged myself to use simple approaches to this image which created a pure yet dramatic feeling. The lustrous pearls and the vibrancy of the hair pops out against the dark blackness which encompasses the majority of the frame. This heavy contrast draws attention to the main focal point, the model's serene expression. To start off, I consider it a breath of fresh air in comparison to my previous photoshoots. I wanted to design something bright and refreshing that contrasted the dark, minimalistic and moody style I'd normally go for with most of my portraits. So, after thinking about what would be different for me to experiment with, I decided to create something colourful and chaotic.
The decision to use a palette of vivid/vibrant colours and embrace a more chaotic, collage-inspired editing style was a deliberate one. I wanted to evoke a sense of nostalgia particularly drawn from the vibrant aesthetics of the 90s. From the style of my model to the backdrop, it is clear that I took inspiration from 'Y2K' fashion and photoshoots. Each element of this project pays homage to the influential style of the 90s, particularly celebrating the creativity of black women and artists from that era.
In commemorating Black History Month, I not only wanted to experiment with something new but also create work that holds meaning and value as both a black woman and an artist who takes immense inspiration from the culture. As many may already be aware or experienced first hand, black culture thrived the greatest in the 1990s and looks from back then still influence many in today's society. Colour Photography Digital Photography 8X10 Original Piece This piece is of my aunt Marie, who is 82 years old. This picture was taken during an interview of her about her glass art. She showcases some of her art to me, while showing me around her house, looking at washrooms covered in glass art, and giant pieces of art made over 25 years ago. While she struggled with daily tasks, she effortlessly was able to cut pieces of glass while even I struggled to cut it. It was a unique experience of learning all the stories behind each piece of art. This art piece showcased in the image was a perfect piece of art to describe her art style; bold Colors and nature inspired. She expressed her love of plants and how she created each and every piece revolving around nature and plants/animals. village. Here, oral history lives in its unadulterated form; everyone has a story, and that story is kept
alive through the simple act of discussing it. The entire drawing is bustling with the intimacy of everyday
life ,where every elements' the way a fellow villager rests bodyweight on the fence, the exact homey
arrangement of kitchen equipment, the familiar checkered patterns represents one more consciousness
in the breathing community that is our home.

It isn't just a place to get something to drink in a hurry; it's a stage on which life unfolds and memories steep
in the warmth of a good time. The tea wasn't just something to drink; it was something that brought back
memories of my life were based on. It was fun like all the rest, but my favorite part was the tea. Tea has
steamed ,foamed and filtered its way into the hearts of millions' likely billions' of people. Unremarkable tea ,so seamless and inoffensive, quietly exists; It isn't a status symbol; it doesn't have a trendy shop on every corner. A cup of tea is a cup of tea, nothing more. Monochromatic Photography Other 11X18 Original Piece I was inspired to create something that was beautiful yet unique. Originally, this image was shot in studio with flowers as the inspiration. I wanted to make something youthful, beautiful yet minimalistic. During the editing process, I felt as though something was missing. It was almost too perfect. I felt as though, by moving some of the sections off her face, it gave this idea that there's something more beneath the surface. As though what's being shown isn't her full reality, and there's more beneath the surface. I created it as a cyanotype print because the whole process of a cyanotype print is meant to be anything but perfect. This digital artwork is inspired by the concept of a lone warrior standing as the silent sentinel under the cascade of cherry blossoms. She is one of my original characters, embodying the strength and determination required to uphold her sacred duty.

As she trains within this ethereal grove, the falling petals around her symbolize both the beauty and transience of life, which she has sworn to protect. The cherry blossoms' delicate nature contrasts with the robustness of her spirit and the sturdiness of her weapon, which she wields with practiced ease. This scene is not only a physical preparation but a ritual that sharpens her mind and forges her will.

Her intense gaze, directed towards an unseen threat, reflects her unwavering focus. It's a testament to her role as a guardian, ever alert and ready to stand against adversity. The artwork is a homage to those quiet moments of solitude where true strength is cultivated — not amidst the chaos of battle, but in the peaceful silence where she connects with her inner power and the ancient wisdom of her lineage.
